United Arab Emirates is first foreign client for U.S. THAAD system

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Army has activated its second Terminal High Altitude Area Defense battery, also ordered by the United Arab Emirates. The UAE has been designated as the first foreign client of THAAD, designed to destroy incoming ballistic missiles in the exoatmosphere.
